Stillwell Ranch RV Park, about seven miles from the north entrance of Big Bend, is a great camping option if the park campgrounds are full or you like a little more space.
The park has over 65 pull-through sites with hookups and a large primitive camping area. Campfires are permitted and pets are welcome. There is a small general store with one gasoline pump, WIFI, showers and a laundry room.
We stayed in the tent camping area with the Jucy and were impressed with the size of the campsite. The vast desert landscape was quite peaceful. The incredibly dark skies made for some outstanding star gazing.
Stillwell is a great option for travelers who enjoy solitude.
